Conversation with Andrew

My conversation with Andrew after preschool yesterday:

Me: Who did you play with today?
Andrew: Well, officially I played with Jonathan.
Me: Did you eat your lunch at Lunch Bunch?
Andrew: Mommy, I don't remember. That was way too long ago. [It had been about 10 minutes.]
Me: What else did you do today?
Andrew: (With a deep, exasperated sigh) Mommy . . . I'm so boring of this.

  2. Officially, I love this too. The almost immediate memory suppression is very familiar. Addison seems to have a semiconscious determination to keep his school world separate from his home world. If I didn't remember being just as insufferable, I'd take offense.

I also love the matching of the color scheme here to your glasses. Very nice touch. :)

  3. Yeah, my mom takes great delight in this. When I started school, my daily report of what happened that day was, "nothing." When Evan started kindergarten and I asked him what he did that day and he said, "nothing," I burst into hysterical laughter.
