I have long whined about my friends who blog: "I can't follow all these blogs!" "It's too self-absorbed!" "Instead of blogging, why don't you e-mail or call me?" And then I discovered that in this brave new world of technological thingamajigs and whirlibobs, you can get your blog published into a real, actual book. That you hold in your hands. With words and pictures.
It might sound like I'm just that desperate to see my written words published into a book . . . but really, it's more an admission of my inability to keep any sort of journal or record of our family's journey through life. So I thought that the chance to update a blog and then get it printed might be just what I need. What better time to start than a new year and new decade!
As for the title of this post, I promised Evan that I would use his suggestion. Thomas the Tank Engine is the very favorite toy of Andrew, and their brand-new Wii is Evan's prized possession. Beyond just sounded good.
